Photo AlbumTrip to Milan ~ 17 Dec 2006Dec 21, '06 6:08 AM
for everyone
Woke up at 4am to get ready and catch the train at 0529 to Aigle. Then changed to another train at Montreux to Milan. The train ride was comfortable and safe. After around 4 hrs, I finally reached Milana Central. Took the underground Metro to Duomo Station and started exploring the place. There was a parade going on in front of the Dumo Church and X'mas performance on the other side. As it was Sunday plus many activities going on, the place was really crowded!

There was one occasion I was being approached by a black guy who threw something kinda like a friendship band or something to me...I threw it back to him and said "No" ~ He came and grap my left hand and tied it on my wrist then asked me for money! I remembered saying " I don't have money. No Money...NO MONEY!" I raised my voice with each word I said...He was kinda nervous and immediately asked another black guy to corner me and asked me for money! The other black guy was really fierce and looked as if he will beat me up for the sake of getting the money. I looked at the fierce one and said "No Money!" All these while I pretend I dunno english and used limited choice of words. When I saw that they were not convinced, I took 30 cents EURO from pocket and said firmly "No MOney!" Then I pointed in front of the crowd and said " Money...Mother...Mother.." I showed my frustration and began to throw tantrum in front of them. The fierce guy began to smile then laughed at my expression. And I was free to go... The whole thing took place just right at the side of the Duomo Church...Well, if ever u see any black guy with books or friendship band or whatever, avoid and run ASAP! Especially if u are travelling alone like me in Milan.

I did walk away and ignored him but he came running to me and the next thing I knew he took the band and tied it to my left wrist then asked me for donation =.=''
What did the stranger want in Taiwan?

always try not to understand them even if you really want to help but think of your own safety.

I did try to act blur but oh well...it's an experience learnt and hope not to bump into such cases in the near future. Safety more important afterall... :)
